Spring in Jackson Hole brings magical energy to the valley. As the days get longer, spring skiing reaches it prime. There is nothing quite like skiing under the high mountain sun at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and relaxing with a cocktail on one of the outdoor patios around Teton Village for après. While this could be all you needed for the perfect spring day, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort decided to make it even better with Rendezvous Mountain Festival.
Billed as a lifestyle and music event, Rendezvous Festival 2015 features three nights of FREE live music to cap off your day of spring skiing. The festival has consistently brought notable names in almost all genres of music and this year’s line-up will fill the spring air with amazing music each night.
Friday, March 20 | Robert Earl Keen
While Robert Earl Keen made his fame in the Lone Star State, he has been a longtime favorite in the Cowboy State. His storytelling ballads and rowdy bar songs create a show that only Keen can pull off. His sense of humor, melodical voice and the steel guitar will have the “Hole” town of Jackson dancing.
Saturday, March 21 | Mix Master Mike and Michael Franti & Spearhead.
One of the best DJ’s of all time, Mix Master Mike loves to see what the energy of his beats can do to the crowd. “When you’re up there and you got like 100,000 people jumping up and down, that’s what the frequencies are capable of doing. If you could take somebody away with music, that’s a gift man.”
Michael Franti also has this gift of literally moving people with his music. Each show he has played in Jackson Hole has been incredibly memorable and we can’t wait for what he will bring this year. His positive music creates an unforgettable show that will have the whole crowd moving.
The combination of the Mix Master Mike and Michael Franti & Spearhead may just make for the biggest dance party Jackson Hole has ever seen!
Sunday, March 22 | Lukas Nelson and P.O.T.R
Rendezvous Fest caps off the weekend at the base of Rendezvous Mountain with Lukas Nelson and his band Promise of the Real Thursday night. Both Nelson and his famed father Willie Nelson have played Jackson Hole before, but this will be a first as he takes center stage underneath the iconic aerial Tram. With influences from Jimi Hendrix to Neil Diamond, Nelson will be rocking the Tram dock.
